The Job Title: Resident Mahatma (Religious Worker)

Job Description

The main responsibilities and duties of the Role:

• Cultivate relationships with locals and becoming actively involved in helping within the community.

• An ordained and an experienced person trained under the guidance of Manav Uttham Sewa Samiti (MUSS), India, in dispersal of the organisations aims and objectivity of spreading peace, tolerance, universal brotherhood and social harmony within the communities.

• To carry out discourses / lectures on spirituality to general public by arranging discourses at venues such as places of worship, community hall and at private residence of interested individuals in bringing communities together.

• To impart spiritual knowledge to all those who are interested regardless of their caste, colour or religion.

• Teaching / translation of sacred scriptures.

• Updates job knowledge by reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in local community events.

• All duties to be carried out with the direction of the Trustees and Managing Committee.

The location of the job:

Manav Dharm Society, Kenton, Harrow.-(a registered and Non Profit Charitable Organisation.)

The skills, qualifications and experience required:

• An experienced person who is fully versed with the teachings, guidance and preaching’s of our parent organisation MUSS in New Delhi and as such approved by them.

• Be fully conversed in all sacred scriptures such as Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana and Mahabharata.

• Listening, Verbal Communication, Written Communication, People Skills, Resolving Conflict, Job Knowledge, Objectivity, Confidentiality, Professionalism, Documentation Skills.

• Good reputation and an ability to cross cultures.

Start date for this role shall be negotiable.
